  • Omar Rajeh will participate in the Grant Holders Meeting as the representative of Maqamat, the coordinating organization of the Creative Europe cooperation project SHIFT, in partnership with Fabbrica Europa and Albania Dance Meeting.

  • Maqamat’s artistic directors, Mia Habis and Omar Rajeh, will be attending the Biennale de Lyon from 17 to 20 September.

    During their presence, they will be sharing updates and engaging in conversations around the company’s touring productions and ongoing projects, including: BIPOD Festival – our annual festival in Beirut, SHIFT- Creative Europe project exploring choreography, space, and community, and Citerne.live our digital platform for the performing arts

  • On 4 & 5 October, Omar Rajeh will be in Italy for a visit to Festival Aperto by Fondazione I Teatri – Reggio Emilia, in preparation for the presentation of Dance People in September 2026.

  • From 7 to 10 October, Maqamat’s artistic director Omar Rajeh will be in Brussels for the 12th edition of Objectifs Danse, a professional platform organized by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

    The event is a showcase for Belgian artists and will include performances, premieres, and project presentations, bringing together artists, programmers, and professionals from across Europe and beyond for exchange and future collaborations.


  • Between October 21st and October 25th, Omar will be in Cairo to attend this year’s edition of AAF. The program will have showcases of emerging and established artists from the region and networking events.
